The North Carolina Alumnae Chapter was chartered at Convention 2020 on August 1, 2020!

The purpose of the chapter is to give graduated sisters a place to engage in organized social activities to stay connected with one another after college and assist active collegiate chapters in North Carolina.

Who's eligible to be a member of the alumnae chapter?

Any Phi Beta Chi alumna in good standing that currently resides in North Carolina (or planning to move to North Carolina) is eligible for membership. Alumnae can be graduates from any Phi Beta Chi chapter.

Are there dues associated with alumnae chapters?

Dues for the North Carolina Alumnae Chapter are $60 per year. 100% of the money goes towards local collegiate chapters, the Rose of Sharon Education Foundation, and the development of the alumnae chapter.

What exactly will the North Carolina Alumnae Chapter do?

The North Carolina Alumnae Chapter will serve two purposes:

  1. To provide a central North Carolina community for local alumnae to stay connected. Activities may include social dinners, retreats, rope courses, outlet shopping, bowling, and more.

  2. To support the collegiate chapters in North Carolina. Possibilities include hosting events with Kappa Chapter and Tau Chapter to support chapter development, assist with recruitment, and other activities that benefit the active collegiate membership.

What's the time commitment?

The alumnae chapter will hold four (4) meetings per year (once per quarter). Each member is required to attend the annual business meeting and at least one other chapter meeting for a total of two (2) meetings per year. Beyond the two required meetings per year, members may be as involved as their schedule allows.
